How it works
What to expect.
01
The first clean
The first visit takes longer than the regular rounds — neglected glass needs more attention to remove built-up grime, water spots and pollen residue. Frames and sills get a deeper clean too. The first-clean price is roughly 50% higher than the recurring price, but every visit after that drops to the standard rate.
02
Regular 6-weekly visits
After the first clean, you join the regular round. Visits happen every 6 weeks — about 9 times a year. A typical 3-bed home is in and out in 20–40 minutes. No need to be home. We pop a card or text to let you know we've been.
03
Payment, no chasing
Each visit triggers a GoCardless Direct Debit for that visit only — no monthly subscription, no cash on the day, no chasing. Cancel any time. Use the quote calculator for an instant price for your home.
04
Weather policy
Light rain is fine — pure water dries spot-free regardless of weather. Heavy rain or strong winds may push us back a day or two for safety and finish quality. You'll always know if we need to reschedule.
The method
How we actually do it.
We use a water-fed pole and pure-water system for almost all exterior cleaning, including sash and period windows. Purified water (run through a multi-stage filter to strip out minerals) is fed up a carbon-fibre pole to a soft brush, which scrubs glass, frames and sills. The pure water then rinses the surface and dries spot-free — that's what gives the streak-free finish, not a chemical or rinse-aid. The pole reaches second-storey windows safely from the ground, so there's no ladder propped against your house. Traditional kit is kept on hand for fine detail work — old casement frames, glazing bars, awkward angles — where it genuinely helps.
Common scenarios
When this service is the right fit.
Windows that haven't been cleaned for a while
Long-neglected glass usually needs the first-clean treatment: a longer initial visit, sometimes two passes, and a 50% premium on price. From the second visit onwards you're on the standard rate.
New-build homes
New builds collect construction dust, mineral residue and pollen on glass and uPVC frames. Our water-fed pole system handles all three without harsh chemicals. We service multiple new-build estates including Great Oldbury — see the area page for details.
Conservatories
Conservatory side and front windows are included in the regular round at £10 per visit. The roof and interior are separate add-on services — see the dedicated conservatory page.
Solar panels and roof glass
Solar panels are not included in the standard round but can be quoted on visit. Same equipment, longer pole, careful approach — and a noticeable boost to panel efficiency once cleaned.
Landlords and holiday lets
We work with landlords and short-let owners across Stonehouse and the Stroud Valley villages. Predictable schedule, no card payments to chase, photos available if requested.
