Gutter Clearance.

Blocked gutters cleared safely from the ground using a high-reach gutter vac. No ladders, no mess. Recommended annually — typically before winter.

How it works

What to expect.

01

Inspection

On arrival we run a camera up the pole for a quick look — confirms what's blocking the gutter (leaves, moss, silt, tile fragments), where the worst sections are, and whether downpipes need attention too.

02

Clearance from ground level

The high-reach vacuum system removes debris directly from the gutter into a sealed canister at ground level. No ladders against your house, no piles of soggy moss on the lawn, and no risk of dropped debris on your windows.

03

Before and after photos

You get photos of every section before and after. If we find a problem we can't fix from the ground (a sagging bracket, broken bracket clips, an actively leaking joint), we flag it with a photo so you can decide what to do.

The method

How we actually do it.

Ladder-free is safer for everyone. Falls from ladders during gutter work are the most common cause of serious injury in domestic exterior maintenance — for the homeowner and the trade alike. The high-reach vacuum system clears gutters from ground level using a carbon-fibre pole, a powerful industrial vacuum and a curved nozzle that hooks over the gutter edge. It works on most domestic properties up to three storeys. For unusual buildings (very tall, awkward access, internal box gutters) we can quote on visit.

Common scenarios

When this service is the right fit.

Before winter

Most homes need a clearance once a year, ideally between October and December once the leaves have fallen. A blocked gutter through a wet winter can lead to damp on internal walls, fascia rot, or worse — overflow that pools by your foundations.

Conifer or sycamore trees nearby

Trees that overhang the roof dump a constant supply of needles, leaves and seeds into gutters. Two clearances a year is sensible — usually late autumn and late spring.

After a storm

Storm debris (tile fragments, branches, wind-blown moss) is one of the most common causes of sudden gutter blockage. A post-storm clearance + camera check confirms whether anything else needs attention.

Pre-sale or end-of-tenancy

Buyers' surveyors flag overflowing gutters. Landlords inheriting a tenancy with a year of neglect benefit from a single clearance to reset the property's exterior maintenance schedule.

FAQ

Good to know.

Up to about three storeys / 40ft on most domestic properties. Very tall buildings or awkward access (high-pitched roofs, internal box gutters) need a site visit to confirm.
It goes into a sealed canister on the vacuum unit. We empty it at our end — you don't end up with a pile of soggy moss on your lawn or driveway.
No — clearance only. If we find a sagging bracket, leaking joint or damaged section, we'll show you the photo and flag it so you can call a gutter installer to repair. We won't leave a problem you don't know about.
Once a year for most homes — usually between October and December after the leaves have fallen. Properties under sycamore, conifer or pine cover may need twice a year.
In most cases yes — the vac reaches the top of the downpipe and a high-pressure attachment can shift blockages from above. Severely blocked downpipes occasionally need a separate rod or drain specialist.
